Each cottage is equipped with a kitchen, cosy living area and braai facilities. And for an added touch of relaxation, each also boasts its own wood-fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding on a weekend getaway. Delicious breakfast baskets from The Eatery are included in our rates and delivered to you each morning

Stable Cottage

Homely simplicity and refined elegance epitomise the recently renovated Stable Cottage. This charming two-bedroom retreat features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge warmed by an indoor fireplace on chilly evenings.

Open double french doors onto your spacious patio complete with braai facilities and a sun-drenched daybed. After sunset, settle into the alfresco dining area beneath a fairy-lit pergola – the stuff that balmy nights in the Western Cape are made for. The cherry on top is undoubtedly your private wood-fired pool – enjoyed hot or cold depending on your preferences.

Stable Cottage’s timeless exterior is enhanced by warm, modern interiors and nostalgic decor, set in a private landscaped garden near the vegetable garden and farm animals.

The down-to-earth sophistication of Stable Cottage, makes it the perfect choice for small families or groups of friends travelling together.

Please note, Stables cannot accomodate extra beds, therefore no extra people are allowed. We can however add a crib for 1 child under two at an additional charge. Any extra people will be forced to make use of another cottage should one be avaliable.

Potters Shed Cottage

Our charming Potter’s Shed Cottage comfortably accommodates 4 guests in two exquisitely decorated bedrooms, each featuring a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.

The living areas are made up by a fully-equipped kitchen, and open-plan dining area and a living space warmed by a fire in the cooler months of the year. Open up glass doors onto a wide patio complete with comfortable sitting areas, swings, a sunny daybed and a built-in braai. The cottage is surrounded by private landscaped gardens and a wood-fired pool for your exclusive use.

This delightfully comfortable cottage is perfect for creating lasting memories with friends and family.

Gatehouse Cottage

The largest of our cottages, Gatehouse, is a spacious double-story cottage with three en-suite bedrooms. The rooms are made up of a queen bedroom and two bedrooms with king or single beds, ensuring comfort for all configurations of families and friends.

In the winter months, relax in the spacious living area around the fireplace and prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Keen cooks will also enjoy the use of the built-in braai.

Unwind in the wood-fired hot tub as you take in the stunning views of the Kleinriver Mountains. This cottage combines down-to-earth comfort with understated luxury, offering an unforgettable stay.

Please note, Gatehouse can only accomodate 1 extra bed in the pajama lounge upstairs or a crib for 1 child under two. Both are at an additional charge, and we only accept one extra person. Any additional people will be forced to make use of another cottage should one be avaliable.

Woodrose Cottage

A uniquely round retreat for two – Woodrose Cottage is a cosy self-catering cottage built from a converted reservoir which once used to serve the working farm. The circular cottage features a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.

In the living areas, guests will find a well-equipped kitchen, a dining space and living area with a cast-iron fireplace. A built-in braai and a private wood-fired pool with stunning views complete your stay. The interiors are finished with carefully selected furniture, beautiful fabrics and delightful surprises to enhance a memorable Cape farm getaway.

This rondavel-style cottage is the perfect choice for romantic couples seeking solitude in a relaxed farm setting.

Please note, Woodrose cannot accomodate children or any extra people. Any additional people will be forced to make use of another cottage should one be avaliable.

Gardener's Suite

This garden suite is the first of our three units which line the picking garden and look onto the potting shed, giving you a feeling of living amongst the flowers.  It has a king bed which can also be converted into twin singles. These are made up in luxury linen including an electric blanket for winter.  The large full bathroom is fitted with a freestanding bath, artisan tiled shower, basin and toilet and the use of Rivergate branded amenities. The fully fitted kitchenette is perfect for a self-catering stay. The suite has an indoor fireplace for the cooler Cape winters months, the built in outdoor braai is wonderful for alfresco dining under the fairy lit pergola.  The suite is set in a landscaped enclosed garden and has the bonus of its own woodfired pool to be enjoyed in both summer or winter.

Please note, Gardeners can only accomodate 1 extra child or a crib for 1 child under two. Both are at an additional charge, and we only accept one extra person. Any additional people will be forced to make use of another cottage should one be avaliable.

Carpenter's Suite

This suite is the second of the three garden cottages. The suite has been tastefully decorated with vintage carpenter’s pieces giving the space an authentic feel. There is a king bed which can also be converted into twin beds. These are made up using luxury linen including an electric blanket in winter. The artisan tiled bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet and Rivergate branded amenities. The fully fitted kitchenette is perfectly appointed to enjoy a self-catering stay. The suite has an indoor fireplace for the cooler Overberg months and a built in outside braai to enjoy alfresco dining under the fairy lit pergola. The suite is set in an enclosed garden with pool loungers and a day bed.

This unit does not have its own woodfired pool.

This suite is the last of the three garden cottages. It has been beautifully decorated with predominately a blue and white colour palette and tastefully placed vintage and antique pieces. There is a king bed that can be converted into twin beds. These are made up using luxury linen including an electric blanket in winter. The artisan tiled bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet and Rivergate branded amenities. The fully fitted kitchenette is perfectly appointed for a self catering stay. The suite has an indoor fireplace for the cooler Cape months and a built in outside braai to enjoy alfresco dining under the fairy lit pergola. The suite is set in an enclosed garden with two sun lounges and a sunbed.

This unit does not have its own woodfired pool.
